AGE DIVISIONS

MINI KIDS: 2018 until today

JUVENILE: 2017 – 2013

JUVENILE 1: 2017 – 2015

JUVENILE 2: 2014 – 2013

JUNIOR: 2012 – 2009

JUNIOR 1: 2012 – 2011

JUNIOR 2: 2010 – 2009

YOUTH: 2008 – 2007

ADULTS: 2008 – …

ADULTS 2: 1994 and older

RULES FOR SOLO CATEGORIES

In the “Solo” categories, the music is provided by the Organizer – except in the categories where Show criterion is included (Latin Show, Street Dance Show, Caribbean Show, Show Dance, etc.) and also in the Oriental Folk, Tribal, Ballet, Acro, categories where the participants dance on “their own music” since the First round and until the Final.

The participants in the “Advanced” categories cannot compete also in the “Beginners” categories of the same Dance Discipline and Age Division.

The participants in the «Professional» categories cannot compete also in the “Amateur” categories of the same Dance Discipline.

TIME DURATION OF SOLOS: Max 1:30 min

 

RULES FOR DUOS, SMALL GROUPS & FORMATIONS

Small Groups: Only one dancer from the next group age category is allowed to dance for the groups of 3 -5 participants and up to 2 dancers for the groups of 6 or 7 participants.

Formations: Up to 3 dancers from the next group age category are allowed to dance for the groups of 8-12 participants and up to 4 dancers for the groups of 13 or more participants.

Music Duration 

  • Duos/Couples:Max 1:30 min
  • Small Groups(3-7 dancers): Max 3:00 min
  • Formations  (8-…dancers): Max 3:30 min

 

All Duos except Hip Hop, Commercial, Dancehall, Reggaeton, High Heels, Synchro, Twerk, Tik Tok, Latin style and Ballroom dance on “their own music” since the First Round.

 

RULES FOR “CLOSED” CATEGORIES

All syllabuses are accepted. The dancers must strictly follow the book figures. Any free or choreographic interpretation is not permitted.

JUDGING SYSTEM

3 or 4 Criteria-Score to Skating System will be used for all categories with “your own music”

For SOLO, DUO & COUPLES in Latin & Standard dances: Skating System will be used.

ADJUDICATORS

International and National licensed Adjudicators.

MUSIC

For all the categories and rounds where participants dance to “their own music”, please UPLOAD the music during registration.

IDO HELLAS K-Pop Competition Rules & Regulations

For

  • Solo
  • Duo
  • Group (min 4 – max 9 members)
  • Formation (min 10 – max 30 members)

For General(Choreography, Props, Music, Clothing etc.)

  • It is OPTIONAL to follow the same number of group members as the K-pop idol group you are covering. (NOT including backup dancers)
  • It is OPTIONAL to follow the official choreography, BUT it is REQUIRED to follow the OFFICIAL CHOREOGRAPHY FOR THE CHORUS AND THE DANCE BREAK.
  • The songs should ONLY be by a K-Pop artist or group.
  • You can use either the official song or mix songs,
  • While the use of any props (walking stick/cane, handkerchief, fans included) is allowed, for safety reasons, it is recommended that you seek permission from the organizers first.
  • ORGANIZER has permission to reject props that are deemed dangerous.
  • If you wish to change your submitted music file, contact the Organizer.
  • You CANNOT make any changes during the competition week.
  • Music file format TO be submitted in MP3 during and with the registration.
  • Clothing should be suitable for the K-Pop theme and ESPECIALLY match the song’s theme

Participations

  • Age Division: According to the “General Rules” see in general provisions of “age divisions”
  • Members of a Duo CAN be male, female, or mixed.
  • Groups must consist of a MINIMUM of (4) four members and a MAXIMUM of (9) nine members
  • The Formation must consist of a MINIMUM of (10) ten members and a MAXIMUM of 30 (thirty) members
  • Members of a Group & Formation CAN be male, female, or mixed.

Music

• Solo:  ORGANIZER’S MUSIC up to 1:30 min

It can either be a song or a mix of songs

• Duo:  Up to 1:30 min with your own music

It can either be a song or a mix of songs

• Group:  With your own music. Song DURATION is required to be at a minimum of 1 minute and a maximum of 3 minutes.

It can either be a song or a mix of songs.

♦ Exception: If you want to do ONE full song that exceeds the 3 minutes limit, you are allowed to perform the whole song, (NOT FOR MIXES).
